A Princess is Born! Special Moments From Prince William and Kate Middleton's Wedding

Prince William and his princess puckered up to celebrate their fairytale wedding yesterday afternoon. The couple shared a brief but tender kiss on the balcony at Buckingham Palace, flanked by the Royal Wedding party and watched by the world.

It was their first public display of affection since becoming husband and wife in an historic ceremony at Westminster Abbey on the morning of 29th April 2011. The couple pledged their love for one another before a 1,900-strong congregation and a TV audience estimated at two billion.

With the formalities of their champagne reception over, the newlyweds had a surprise for the crowds. They drove out of the gates of Buckingham Palace in Prince Charles’s blue Aston Martin convertible festooned with balloons and an L plate. It also had a licence plate reading ‘Just Wed’, echoing what the boys did when their father wed Camilla
